I know the grass looks horrible and the leaves should have been raked, but this was poking up in my front yard this afternoon. The yellow ones came up weeks ago, but I love the purple crocuses.
I think this year I will pull up the flowers that were left over and put in flowers that I will love to see. I think I'll put in another rose bush this year and hope that no one mows it over...er, we won't mention names, :0) even though the rose had two beautiful lavander blooms on it making it rather hard to miss the fact that it was indeed a flower, not a weed.

Pammer, I love coming over here not only to read your words, but to see your beautiful pics. Especially this one. It reminds me of that saying, "Bloom where you're planted." Such a beautiful, vibrant flower surrounded by dull, dead grass. I hope that's the way I live my life.
